12 Jan A New Year and a New Name

Greetings to all Bleakly Advisory Group clients, colleagues, and friends.
At the close of 2020, we stopped to reflect with gratitude and are now happy to bring you some very exciting news about the future of our firm.
The eventful year was not easy for us, as we opened our virtual office and navigated the choppy waters that come with operating a consulting business during a pandemic. And yet, we grew and improved in 2020. Our staff is larger, operating at a higher level than ever before. Our client base is bigger, and our work just gets more interesting. So, while we continue to keep those less fortunate in our hearts, we look to the future with great optimism.
2021 is our firm’s 20th Anniversary year!
Ken Bleakly “put out a shingle,” as he likes to say, in 2001, and here we are embarking on another decade in business. Guided by Ken, we came a long way. In 2018 he sold me the business. Together we transitioned to our new roles, mine as “president” and his as “retired.” (Ken has a hard time being retired, however, as he is still very much involved, particularly in servicing our clients in coastal Georgia).
As we embark on this new decade, we are “updating” our name. Let it be known far and wide:
As of January 1, 2021, Bleakly Advisory Group is doing business as KB Advisory Group.
With this refreshed name, we have a new website, a new logo, a new look to our reports, and a renewed energy for answering the tough questions in real estate and urban economics for our clients. However, we will be “doing the new” with the same staff of trusted professionals and proud to offer the same excellent service.
We are committed to continuing to live up to our new tag line:

Insightful: our experience analyzing real estate development for our vast spectrum of clients gives us a unique perspective on the trends and a well-earned acumen in determining how to act successfully in the context of those trends.
Innovative: our staff includes those with over 30 years of experience in real estate consulting and recent graduates of top academic programs. We stay current on how we think about real estate development and urban planning and the tools we use to analyze it.
