Welcome, Micah!

It’s fall 2022, and there are new Interns at KB Advisory Group (Part One)

WELCOME, MICAH! KB Advisory Group is pleased Culver City, California native Micah Tamura joins the firm as a 2022 Intern Analyst. He is a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, enrolled in the Master of City and Regional Planning program. Micah attended UC Irvine, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Micah’s Past Experience

Micah worked for several years, leading engineering projects in manufacturing at Danone North America before starting grad school. Some of his projects include developing and executing a reliability master plan and analyzing failure modes for efficiency and efficacy. You may recognize these Danone products – Horizon® Organic and Silk® milk!

Working with the KB team

Micah is excited to be a part of the KB team, working to make Atlanta a better place to live (than it already is)! Also, he looks forward to learning about the city planning processes from “behind the scenes.” Micah’s focus at KB will be research and data analysis for various projects. His collaborative attitude and problem-solving skills are sure to be an asset.

What else should you know about Micah?

Micah’s most rewarding and fun experience involved teaching elementary school students after-school and summer STEM programs. During the pandemic, he built a computer and installed a ground-level deck in his parent’s backyard. Micah loves playing basketball, shooting, or playing pick-up games at the gym. That he became an Apple convert to Facetime with his two and half-year-old niece might come as a surprise to others!

Welcome, Micah!

From his previous work, Micah understands thorough, practical, and focused data is critical to accomplish large projects. He is ready to apply his knowledge and provide impactful research, models, and analysis to KB’s real estate and economic development consulting. We are thrilled with Micah’s dedication to evaluation and teamwork. Everyone at KB is happy to be working with him!
