Meet the KB Advisory Group Interns

KB FaviconKB Advisory Group is fortunate to employ the services of three outstanding interns for the summer of 2021. These paid interns have already made numerous indelible marks on the firm and we expect them to continue their positive impact in the coming months. Through the ups and downs of the pandemic, they’ve shown great drive, grit, and intelligence – rolling with the punches and continuing to find ways to contribute to the projects on which they are working.

Of course the number one priority for any intern is to learn skills from veteran employees and take those lessons with them to use throughout their career. This group of interns is learning plenty, while at the same time, providing quality research, analysis, and keen insights for our clients.

We are proud to call this group part of the KB Advisory Group team.

Phillip Walker Carnell

Background: BA in International Studies, BA in German, University of North Texas 2018

Degree: Master of City and Regional Planning and Master of Science in Public Policy from Georgia Institute of Technology, Specialization in Economic Development, Dec 2021

With a background in International Development and German, I was motivated to enter the field of economic and real estate development policy from my experiences around the world. I chose to study at Georgia Tech to fortify my knowledge of the field with hard, modern skills and innovative methods to support me in my career. My position at KB Advisory Group as a data analyst intern professionally complements my studies, helping me develop an understanding of how policymakers and industry partners tell data-based stories that support development. Dhruva Jandhyala

Background: BBA Economics, Certificate in GIS from the University of Georgia, 2020

Simulator and strategy games were my gateway to urban economics as a child. While studying economics in college, a chance encounter with a drone at the library introduced me to Geographic Information Science. My internship at KB Advisory Group enables me to synthesize my interests in economics and GIS. Before joining the firm as an intern, I completed an internship with Trees Atlanta, an organization that protects and improves Atlanta’s urban forests.

Gabrielle Oliverio

Background: BS in Economics & International Affairs, Certificate in Finance, Georgia Institute of Technology 2019

Degree: Master of City and Regional Planning, Specialization in Economic Development, May 2022

Exploring Atlanta as an undergrad exposed me to the various development projects, patterns, and opportunities taking place in and around the city, which got me interested in economic development. After spending a year working in DC, I decided to return to Georgia Tech to pursue a Master’s degree to learn how  economic development work can benefit all who live and work in and around Atlanta. Working with KB Advisory Group provides me with a hands-on learning experience to better understand the role and impact real estate has in the city’s development. LinkedIn
